Ground Hopping The 42

👋 Welcome to the Fitba Hopper!
My name is Paul and this is a journal that documents a life-changing challenge I’ve set for myself.
After battling a life-threatening health condition, I was left with some pretty horrible side effects but instead of allowing this to dictate my life, I decided to fight back – with football and travel!
⚽ The 42 Ground Hop Challenge
That fight back is ground hopping: the simple hobby of traveling to see football matches at different grounds. The challenge is to visit the grounds of all 42 teams in the Scottish Professional Football Leagues to watch a match, over a one year period!
I’m starting methodically, completing League 2 first and then working my way up. This challenge is my way of boosting my general fitness and aiding my recovery.
🗓️ Follow the Journey
The challenge officially kicked off on 1st November 2025 with a trip up north to watch Elgin City v Annan Athletic in the SPFL League 2.
You’re more than welcome to follow along for the journey.
Keep up to date with my progress on my social media channels and checking in each week for my regular blog posts!
